O3.1 (£22,156.40) per annum, 37 hours per week. Fixed term contract.

25 days leave + bank holidays and discretionary days

Located in the heart of Manchester, The Union is part business, part charity, part membership body. Operating independently from Manchester Metropolitan University, our aim is to support and represent each one of our student members. Each year our growing team of around 50 full time and up to 100 part time staff, work alongside elected student leaders to make change, improve lives and help fulfil student potential.

What's the job?

To support the Insight Team in delivering The Union's research function.

Reporting to Sarah Waterhouse, Research Manager

Main activities:

  • Using survey software, such as Qualtrics and Survey Monkey, to help script surveys
  • Assisting with the maintenance of key data assets, and being responsible for routine cleaning and updating
  • Managing incentives offered for survey completion. Researching incentive options, organising voucher codes and liaising with students
  • Updating and maintaining survey trend trackers
  • Assisting with regular dashboard maintenance and updates
  • Assisting with creating and moderating online communities
  • Writing discussion guides for focus groups
  • Qualitative code theming
  • To assist with routine reporting on surveys and operational data
